Acadia Parish Honors Set To Take Place This Week | October 28

By Jules Broussard | Acadia Parish Honors, Chamber Announcements, Events, News | Comments are Closed | 21 October, 2020 | 0

As with so many events throughout the country, as well as the world, our Acadia Parish Honors Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony had to be postponed due to COVID-19. Finally, after months of waiting, we are happy to announce the new date for the event! The biggest event of the year for our Chamber will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Le Grand Hall in the Grand Opera House, and last from 6 PM until 9 PM.

During the Acadia Parish Honors we will be honoring those selected for the 2020 Chamber awards. The 2020 Business Persons of the Year are Shane and Debbie Spallino. 2020 Humanitarian of the Year is William “Billy” Pinac. Outstanding Young Citizens of 2020 are: Katie Leblanc of Church Point High School, Jocelyn Marceaux of Crowley High School, Caroline Frey of Iota High School, Emmie Miller of Midland High School, Damian Istre of Northside Christian School, Summar LeLeux of Notre Dame High School, and Gracie Bergeron of Rayne High School.

Also at the ceremony the new officers of the Chamber’s Board of Directors will be introduced: Chance Henry as Chairman, Jeremiah Meck as Vice-Chairman, and Heather LaBouve as Secretary-Treasurer. The 2020-2021 new Board members will be introduced as well: Blane Faulk, Scott Lowry, Dr. Eddie Palmer, and Jackie Loewer.

Due to COVID restrictions and to safely celebrate our honorees, the event is currently sold out. Please contact us via email or phone to be added to the wait list. And for more information about the event, visit the event page on our calendar.

We look forward to seeing everyone!
