Let us not forget that the cultivation of the earth is the most important labor of man. When tillage begins, other arts will follow. The farmers, therefore, are the founders of civilization.
The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce and Supreme Rice have begun planning for their annual Farmers’ Appreciation Dinner in honor of the farmers who make such a large contribution to the culture
and the economy of Acadia Parish. The event will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the International Rice Festival Building in Crowley. Doors will open at 5:30 pm allowing guests an opportunity to visit exhibitor booths and get acquainted. Chef Night Train Blane Faulk will be preparing a dinner featuring Acadia Parish rice. Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm.
Along with Supreme Rice, the following businesses have committed to sponsoring this great event: Sunshine Quality Equipment, Falcon Rice Mill, Farmers State Bank, Bank of Commerce, The Bank, First National Bank, J&J Exterminating, Home Bank, Omega Energy, Slemco, Stine Lumber, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS), First South Farm Credit, Schilling Distributors, City of Crowley, Acadia General Hospital, Acadia Parish Clerk, Robby Barousse, Acadia Parish Farm Bureau, C.J.
