The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce is accepting Outstanding Young Citizen applications now through May 3, 2021.
In conjunction with the Acadia Parish Honors, the Acadia Parish Chamber is honored to have this opportunity to present seven students, one from each of Acadia Parish High School in the 2021 Graduating Class, with the award of Outstanding Young Citizen. We are pleased to provide a $500 scholarship for each student. Youth awards will be presented along with awards for an Outstanding Business Person of the Year and a Humanitarian of the Year at the Chamber’s Acadia Parish Honors event on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the Grand Opera House of the South.
One Scholarship Recipient will be chosen from each high school in Acadia Parish. This scholarship is based off of the student’s Civic Engagement as well as Acadia Parish Citizenship (the student must reside in Acadia Parish). Deadline to apply is Monday, May 3 at 4:30 p.m.

About Acadia Parish Honors
Acadia Parish Honors is an annual event held at the end of the Chamber’s calendar year with the purpose of highlighting the year’s opportunities and successes while shedding light on the coming year’s horizon. We would not be who we are and we would not be able to accomplish what we do without our wonderful business community. This evening of celebration is set aside each year to celebrate the great strides of the Acadia Parish Business Community by honoring Business of the Year, Humanitarian of the Year, seven Outstanding Young Citizens as well as outgoing and incoming Board Members of the Acadia Parish Chamber.
