Acadia Chamber Announces Gumbo Cook-Off Date

With great excitement, the Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce announces the date for it’s 16^th Annual Gumbo-Cook off on Saturday, February 1, 2020 in Crowley, Louisiana. Teams vying for the title of Gumbo Champion will compete in three different categories including seafood, non-seafood with homemade roux and then a separate category for those using jar roux. Awards will also be presented for People’s Choice and Best Decorated Booth.

The February 1st celebration will take place on the Enterprise Building Grounds located at 11 North Parkerson. Admission is $10 which allows you to eat ALL the GUMBO you can eat! Live entertainment will be provided beginning at 11:00 am which also includes fun activities for the kids! Gumbo will be ready at noon—so mark your calendars NOW.
