    Throw Me Something, Mister!

    Grab your friends and family and head to Acadia Parish this Mardi Gras season! With traditional Courir de Mardi Gras celebrations, carnival rides, and plenty of parades to choose from– you are sure to find somewhere in Acadia Parish to ‘pass a good time, cher’!

    2019 Courir de Mardi Gras de L’anse

    When: February 23rd

    Where: 1174 Lafosse Rd., Morse

    Traditional run down the back roads of Mermentau Cove making several stops including private homes and Istre Cemetery. The day ends with a fais do-do and gumbo.

    Rayne Mardi Gras Parade & Celebration

    When: March 2nd

    Where: Gossen Memorial Park, 206 Frog Festival Dr., Rayne

    The parade starts at American Legion Drive, crosses the railroad tracks, and turns left at light by Rayne Police Station towards Frog Festival Drive. Parade ends at the Frog Festival Pavilion for the After Party from 4 to 7 PM. Food, drinks, music, fun jumps, awards, Chicken & Sausage Gumbo Cook-off

    Church Point Children’s Courir de Mardi Gras

    When: March 2nd

    Where: 1036 E Ebey-Saddle Tramp House, Church Point

    Begins 8:30 a.m. Downtown for the parade at 12:30 p.m. Awards at 1 p.m. 337-684-2026

    Church Point Courir de Mardi Gras

    When: March 3rd

    Where: 1036 E Ebey-Saddle Tramp House, Church Point

    Courir begins at 8 a.m. and ends downtown for a parade at 1:30 p.m,

    Tee Mamou-Iota Mardi Gras Folklife Festival

    When: March 5th

    Where: Downtown Iota

    Carnival D’Acadie

    When: March 4th and 5th

    Where: Downtown Crowley

    Fair, live music and street dance, costume contests, parade
