Last week, the Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Duson hosted a ribbon cutting celebration at Cajun Claws Seafood Boilers for the new service road, Stirling Lane, in Duson. Mayor Johnny Thibodeaux shared that many businesses are already calling about development in the area, and he is optimistic that the service road will be beneficial for more than just Duson. “Hopefully with this road project, it’s going to be a big increase, not only for Lafayette Parish but for Acadia Parish this land is in,” said Thibodeaux. “But it’s going to be a big boost for the state of Louisiana as well.”
Present at the ribbon cutting were Nick Sonnier from Sellers & Associates, Inc., various land owners from along the service road, owners of Cajun Claws Debbie and Shane Spallino, State Representative John Stefanski, Duson City Council members, staff and Board of Directors of Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce, and One Acadiana. Mayor Thibodeaux extended his thank yous to all who were present, and to the council members and land owners who were pivotal in the execution of this project.
