The Crowley office of Cardiovascular Institute of the South is led by an experienced and dedicated team that ensures patients receive compassionate, advanced care. Dr. Arti Singh and Dr. Wade May lead the physician team. They offer a wide range of services that include, diagnostic, chronic care, women’s health, rehab, help to stop smoking and much more.
Dr. Singh earned her doctorate at Saba University School of Medicine in the Netherlands Antilles. She earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science at Loyola University in Chicago, and also holds a master’s
degree in distributed systems from DePaul University, Chicago. She worked as an engineer in the avionics and biomedical device industry prior to her career in medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Bridgeport Hospital-Yale New Haven Health System in Connecticut and her cardiovascular disease fellowship at Beaumont Health in Michigan.
Dr. Singh is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac computed tomography and peripheral vascular ultrasound interpretation. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Women’s Heart Association, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Medical Association. She has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed journals, abstracts and research publications.
Dr. Wade May, a native of Alexandria, Louisiana, joined the physician team at Cardiovascular Institute of the South in 2009. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2003.
Dr. May completed a residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2006 and completed a cardiology fellowship at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans in 2009.
Dr. May is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, cardiovascular computed tomography, vascular ultrasound, and nuclear cardiology. He is a member of numerous professional societies including the American College of Cardiology, the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Society for Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and the Society for Vascular Ultrasound.
