Yesterday, South Louisiana Community College (SoLAcc) celebrated the completion of its “Legacy in Caring in the Home and Community” project with the unveiling of the final Home Health Training Lab on the Crowley Campus. The cutting-edge lab is the result of a collaboration between the college, LHC Group and the Myers Family Foundation.
The Home Health Training Lab in Crowley replicates a realistic home care setting, complete with an advanced computerized simulation mannequin that mimics various clinical scenarios. This immersive environment allows SoLAcc’s healthcare students to gain hands-on experience and practice essential skills in a safe and controlled space before entering real-world healthcare settings.
As always, SoLAcc remains an innovator in education our workforce and we’re proud to have them here in Acadia Parish.
