The Acadia Parish Tourist Commission is launching a weekly contest on its Facebook page Acadia Parish Tourist Commission Information Center. The contest will promote interest in Acadia Parish by highlighting the villages, towns and cities as well as rural areas of the parish.
The “Find T Rouge” contest will follow the travels of T Rouge, the crawfish friend of the Acadia Parish Tourist Commission. T Rouge wanders around the parish taking selfies at places he’s been along the way. We will post his selfies on our Facebook page along with a clue as to where T Rouge is. The first person to guess the location correctly in the comments will win an official “I Found T Rouge” t-shirt!
The contest will take place every Tuesday at 9:00AM. The first “T Rouge Tuesday” is July 16th, 2019. The contest is free and open to everyone, all ages are welcome to help us Find T Rouge! Remember, you don’t have to live in Acadia Parish to play. In the meantime, check our Facebook page for details and updates.
The Acadia Parish Tourist Commission exists to introduce visitors to the people, history, food and music of Acadia Parish. Our vast farmland produces rice, crawfish, sugarcane, sweet potatoes, cattle and more! Advances in agriculture originate in our parish. Acadia Parish was and continues to be the birthplace of countless Cajun and Zydeco musicians. While the parish is largely flat prairie land, we also have lots of bayous and a few hills. The people of Acadia Parish come from a large mix of backgrounds, and we work together, pray together and play together.
The Acadia Parish Tourist Commission and our new friend, T Rouge are inviting people to visit us, and learn what makes Acadia Parish such a great place to live. Find out more at: acadiatourism.org and on Facebook at: Acadia Parish Tourist Commission Information Center
And don’t forget to use, #TRougeTuesday, #FindTRouge beginning Tuesday, July 16.
