    Krewe of Town Revelers

“Tales from the CIMMER Zone” will be the theme for this year’s Krewe of Town Revelers’ Carnival Ball. The annual ball is a production that takes attendees on an imaginative journey as the court performs for the crowd. The 2019 celebration will feature chills and thrills as the audience views adventures from the “Zone.” Also featured in this year’s celebration will be the Town Club’s “Legacy Couple,” Renee Chastant and Larry Spaetgens. This couple was chosen from a pool of past maids and dukes on CIMMER’s court who didn’t have an opportunity to “show their talent” and perform for the audience, as has become tradition since 2002. The 2019 ball is set for Saturday, March 2, at 7 p.m. at the International Rice Festival Building in Crowley. The public is invited to attend and join in the festivities.
Tickets are on sale now and can be obtained at www.ktrcarnivalball.ticketleap.com/64th and at the Crowley Town Club.
    For more information call 783-1432.

Krewe de Joi de Vie of Acadiana

The Krewe de Joi de Vie of Acadiana will hold its 2019 Mardi Gras Ball on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Rayne Civic Center.
“Legends In Concert” will be the theme for the evening. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Presentation of royalty begins at 8 p.m. and the ball will follow.
Tickets for the fifth annual event are now on sale for $100 per couple — formal attire only (long gowns and tuxedos). Must be 21 years of age to be in attendance. A ticket will admit krewe members and member guests only. The 2019 king and queen are King Louis V Patrick Thibodeaux and Queen Anna V Denise Brignac. Court members are Ryan Trahan, Kris Manuel-Sparks, Shanna Morgan, April Daigle, Josh Daigle, Faith Abshire, Justin Abshire and Captain Rusti Morel. Board members are Tina DeRouen, Paige Dupont, Gwen Foreman, Brenda Dudley, Becky Prejean, Cheryl Mueller, Lindsey Credeur, Katie Primeaux, Rusti Morel, Nikki Link, Angie Trahan, Elmo Lasseigne, Howard DeRouen and Renee Champagne. For more information, contact Rusti Morel (rjanine467@aol.com) or any board member.

Rayne Grand Court Mardi Gras Ball

Tickets are available for the eighth annual Rayne Grand Court Mardi Gras Ball to be held Saturday, Jan. 19, in the Rayne Civic Center.
Tickets are $50 per person and are available through court members and also available at the Rayne Chamber Office. Tickets will not be sold at the door the night of the event. The ball is sponsored by the Rayne Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture.
The Civic Center will be transformed into the gala theme “Under The Big Top!” Doors will open at 6 p.m. and presentations will begin at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be sold. No ice chests are allowed. Formal/semi-formal attire is required. Gentleman may wear suits and a tie, and ladies may wear floor-length gowns or cocktail dresses. No jeans will be permitted.
