Leadership EXCEL Learns Their True Colors

    By Megan M. Duhon | Leadership Excel | Comments are Closed | 1 March, 2019 | 0

The Leadership EXCEL program hosted the year’s 2nd session on Wednesday, February 20th. The session featured Leadership through Emergenetics Assessments. Thanks to the following sponsors, the Leadership EXCEL program is possible. The 2019 Sponsors are as follows: Acadia Parish Farm Bureau, First National Bank, Encore Healthcare & Rehabilitation, Bank of Commerce, Dugas Soileau & Breaux, Acadia Parish Assessor-Jimbo Petitjean, Rayne Building & Loan, Farmers State Bank, E.L. Habetz Builders, Carmichael’s Cashway Pharmacy, The Bank and Jennings American Legion Hospital and Jennings Hampton Inn & Suites for hosting us this session.

Keith Simpson, Leadership EXCEL Advisory Board Chairman welcomed Harold Suire, President of ERI Services and facilitator for the session. Suire is a University of Louisiana at Lafayette graduate with degrees and certifications in English, Special Education, Administration, Psychology & Counseling. He is one of four master certified Emergenetics associates worldwide and has presented Emergenetics across the world for over 20 years.

Prior to the session, the Leadership EXCEL class completed the Emergenetics profile survey. Through a series of questions, this survey identifies a person’s thinking & behavioral traits, and is used to create a personal profile. The day was focused on understanding the four thinking attributes and the three behavioral attributes each person exhibits. Through group activities, class discussion and detailed profiles, the participants were given great insight into thinking and behavioral preferences and how to use them to better work with others.

Leadership EXCEL stands for Experience in Community, Enterprise and Leadership. The program is designed to prepare emerging leaders to meet the future leadership needs of our community. Through the exchange of viewpoints and experiences, participants are exposed to the challenges, opportunities, and vital issues affecting Acadia and Jeff Davis parishes. Leadership EXCEL is a program of the Acadia and Jeff Davis Chambers of Commerce.
