Have a Ball this Mardi Gras Season

    Krewe of Town Revelers

With the theme “I Want my CIM-TV,” this year’s Krewe of Town Revelers Carnival Ball will take celebrants back to the 80’s.
It will invoke memories of big hair, bright-colored clothing, Cabbage Patch Dolls and the determination to solve a Rubik’s cube.
This year’s ball will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. at the International Rice Festival Building in Crowley.
Featured will be the Crowley Town Club’s “Legacy Couple,” Dr. Ted Reaux and Jessica Capel Ardoin. The couple was chosen from a pool of past dukes and maids on Cimmer’s court who loved their Mardi Gras ball experience so much that they wanted to do it again. They are excited about reappearing in this year’s ball.
The public is invited to attend. Live ticket sales, which will save you on-line ticketing fees, will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2020 at the Town Club. Tickets will also be available on the website www.ktrcarnivalball.ticketleap.com/65th.
For more information visit the website or call (337) 783-1432.

Krewe de Joie de Vie of Acadiana

The Krewe de Joie de Vie of Acadiana will hold its 2020 Mardi Gras Ball on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the Rayne Civic Center.
“Super Hero Invasion” will be the theme for the evening. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Presentation of royalty begins at 8 p.m. and the ball will follow.
Tickets for the 6th annual event are now on sale for $100 per couple — formal attire only (long gowns and tuxedos). Must be 21 years of age to be in attendance. A ticket will admit krewe members and member guests only.

For more information, contact Rusti Morel (rjanine467@aol.com) or any board member.

Rayne Grand Court Mardi Gras Ball

Tickets are now available for the ninth annual Rayne Grand Court Mardi Gras Ball. Tickets are $50 per person and are available through court members and at the Rayne Chamber Office. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
The ball is sponsored by the Rayne Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture and will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 at the Rayne Civic Center.
The ball will be transformed into the gala theme “We Love The 80s!” Doors will open at 6 p.m. and presentations begin at 7 p.m.
His Majesty King Jeremy Lavergne and Her Majesty Queen Michelle C. Autin and their royal court including Ashley Russell, Andre Baudoin, Bart Baudoin, Bobby Beller, Anna-Claire Menard, Kennidy Peavy, Tessa Himel, Mike Garcia, Brad Breaux, Tylee Alleman, Kristi Miller, Ainsley Beckwidth, Madison Boudreaux, Morgan Boudreaux, Michael Gregory, Emma Thibodeaux, Caitlin Walker, and Jeff Richard will be presented in regal and costumed attire for the 80s theme.
Refreshments will be sold. No ice chests are allowed.
Formal/semi-formal attire is required. Gentleman may wear suits and a tie, and ladies may wear floor-length gowns, cocktail dresses, or be bold and take out your old 80s prom dresses. NO JEANS will be permitted. For additional information, call Ashley Derise at 298-3154, Michelle Autin at 280-8014 or Rayne Chamber Office at 334-2332.
