The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce is honored to announce that First National Bank of Louisiana has been chosen as the 2022 Business of the Year in conjunction with Acadia Parish Honors Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony.
On April 1, 1924, First National Bank of Crowley opened its doors for business. First National Bank is a nationally chartered community bank with locations in Lafayette, Crowley, Lake Charles and Sulphur. Since the beginning, FNB has provided customers and businesses with quality products and a level of personalized service unique to community banks. Their roots are simple and they strive to provide the same personal touch that their foundation was built on. The mission of First National Bank as an independent community bank is to build lasting relationships, one account at a time and to build strategic partnerships that create profitable opportunities enhancing shareholder value. They take pride in knowing that they make a difference in the lives of those they serve.
With recent transitions, you will find several familiar faces making up their Senior Management Team. After 24 years of Service to First National Bank, Randy Prather assumed the role of Executive Chairman while announcing Jim Lyons President of FNB. Concurrently, Rose Miller was promoted from Chief Operating Officer to Chief Executive Officer. Taking over the COO role was Crowley native, Cindy Miller. Collectively, these four have over 90 years of service to First National Bank. Their dedication is a testament to the financial institution’s commitment to retaining exceptional personnel who are devoted to their customers and their community.
Among First National Bank’s numerous accolades, they are tirelessly committed to their community. You will find them fervently supporting civic organizations, small businesses and nonprofits across the region. On a local level, they proudly support the efforts of Crowley Main Street and all of its merchants – the bank has supported the organization as it has grown over the years. They are supporters of Ms. Audrey Spencer’s Empowering the Community for Excellence Learning Center, the Way Training Center, Crowley Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club of the South and many other local civic organizations.
Members since its inception, First National Bank has been an unwavering supporter of the Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce, formerly the Crowley Chamber of Commerce. Employees always find ways to plug in through attending events and volunteering their time at the Chamber’s numerous events including Gumbo Cook-Off, the annual Farmers’ Appreciation Dinner and Annual Golf Classic. Several FNB team members have even held leadership roles on the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Falling underneath the Chamber’s operations, First National has supported Leadership EXCEL’s efforts for the last 27 years. Through their support, the organization has been able to cultivate leaders and active citizens in Acadia Parish and the surrounding areas. FNB team members make up a large portion of the program’s alumni as well as current and past board members.
“We are thrilled to honor First National Bank as our 2022 Business of the Year. Historically, we honor an exclusive business person. But, with First National Bank coming up on their 100 Year Anniversary on top of their steadfast commitment to the community – it was an obvious choice.” noted Chamber President, Megan Duhon. “First National is a pillar of our parish in so many ways and we are grateful for their service to the business community over the last century!”
First National Bank will be honored Wednesday evening at the Acadia Parish Honors Annual Banquet & Awards Ceremony. The Acadia Parish Honors is open to the public.
