Falcon Rice Mill: April Member Spotlight

    By Megan M. Duhon | Member News, News | Comments are Closed | 24 May, 2018 | 0

Rooted in the Rice Capitol of America, Falcon Rice Mill has been a thriving family-owned business for many decades. Since being founded in 1942 by Edward and Evelyn Falcon, the Falcon family has been milling quality rice products that are shared on dinner tables across the country. They are one of the oldest running rice mills in the US. Falcon Rice Mill is known for their Cajun Country medium, long, whole grain brown, popcorn and jasmine rice, but they also mill and package Toro, Falcon, Home Country, Laredo, and Jackpot rice. The mill has been passed down to the third generation and is now owned by siblings Robbie Trahan and Christine Fulton, along with their spouses, Jennifer Trahan and Dwayne Fulton. They are especially proud to say that their product is 100% Louisiana grown, milled, and packaged. The Falcon’s take pride knowing that they are supporting their local farming community by buying from the Louisiana farmer. In 2017, Falcon Rice Mill was added to the National Food & Beverage Foundation’s National Culinary Heritage Register. In addition, they are continuously involved in our community by donating to local organizations such as Eat Lafayette and NOLA Eat Local. We are honored to have the Falcon Rice Mill as an outstanding member and thank them for their continued support of our community.
