Early voting began Nov. 24 and ends Dec. 1 for the December 8 election.
You can vote every day during that time, except for Sunday, Nov. 25, at your parish registrar of voters from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. To find the address of your registrar, click here. In Acadia Parish, Early Voting is located at 568 NW Court Circle in Crowley.
There is one statewide election, the run-off for Secretary of State. The candidates are Kyle Ardoin, a Baton Rouge Republican and Gwen Collins-Greenup, a Democrat from Clinton.

- Shall the Parish of Acadia, State of Louisiana (the “Parish”), be authorized to levy a two and fifteen hundredths (2.15) mills tax (the “Tax”) (the estimated amount reasonably expected to be collected from the levy of said tax for one entire year being $819,000), on all the property subject to taxation in the Parish for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the year 2020 and ending with the year 2029, for the purpose of (i) constructing, improving, maintaining and operating the Parish’s Cooperative Extension Service Building and (ii) constructing improvements to and maintaining and operating the Parish’s Multi-Purpose Building and Arena, provided, however, that at least 40% of the annual Tax proceeds shall be budgeted for each of said purposes, said millage to represent a three hundredths of a mill (.03) increase (due to reappraisal) over the 2.12 mills tax authorized to be levied through the year 2019 pursuant to an election held on April 4, 2009?

- Shall Fire Protection District No. 5 of the Parish of Acadia, State of Louisiana (the “District”), be authorized to extend the levy of the tax authorized to be levied through the year 2019 pursuant to an election held on October 17, 2009 (the “Tax”), at a rate of four and seventy-nine hundredths (4.79) mills on all property subject to taxation within the District (an estimated $92,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the Tax for an entire year) for an additional ten (10) years to run from the year 2020 through the year 2029, and shall the proceeds of the Tax, heretofore or hereafter received, be rededicated for the purposes of acquiring, constructing, improving, maintaining and/or operating fire protection and emergency medical service facilities, vehicles and equipment, including both movable and immovable property and paying the cost of obtaining water for fire protection purposes?
