New Faces, Fresh Perspectives: Welcoming Our 2025 Board Members
As we close out another successful fiscal year and step into a new one, we’re filled with gratitude for the dedicated individuals who have helped guide our mission—and excitement for what’s ahead. Each year brings change, and while we bid farewell to some outstanding board members whose time and talents have left a lasting impact, we are thrilled to welcome four dynamic community leaders to our board of directors.
These individuals bring a wealth of experience, passion, and a deep commitment to making Acadia Parish a better place to live, work, and do business. Get to know the newest members of our board:
Shanna Monk
A lifelong Crowley resident, Shanna Monk is no stranger to service. A graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Shanna is deeply involved in many local organizations, including St. Michael School, Notre Dame High School, the Crowley Professional Women’s Club, and the Crowley Community Development Association. She’s also a proud member of Krewe of Town Revelers and Krewe de Joie de Vie of Acadiana. Perhaps most notably, Shanna has served as the director of the International Rice Festival for nearly a decade, helping to preserve and promote one of our region’s most cherished cultural traditions. She and her husband, Jared, are raising two sons, Maddox and Jase, with the same spirit of community involvement.
Taylor Mahaffey
A resident of Lyons Point and proud business owner, Taylor Mahaffey leads Superior Pump and Supply, a company he’s operated since 2022. Taylor’s leadership and drive are matched by his strong sense of community. Whether it’s through volunteering with St. Michael sports, Crowley Recreation, or supporting other local initiatives, Taylor is always ready to lend a hand. He and his wife, Kelli—a business owner herself—are raising four sons: John David, Luke Thomas, Jack Henry, and Lane Michael. With his entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to youth programs, Taylor brings both energy and vision to our board.
Jill Signorelli
Originally from Sulphur, Louisiana, Jill Signorelli has become a fixture in Acadia Parish through her long-standing commitment to business and community. A McNeese State University graduate, Jill has worked with Southwind for over 17 years and is co-owner of The Crowley Cinema IV with her husband, Trey. She has also been a dedicated volunteer through the Crowley Rotary Club and has served St. Michael and Notre Dame schools in countless ways over the years. Now retired, Jill continues to serve with the same energy and heart she’s always shown—proving that community service isn’t just a phase, but a way of life. She and Trey have two children, Blaire and Jacob.
Shantee Gotte Manuel
Entrepreneurial spirit runs strong in Shantee Manuel. As the owner of both Cakebar Bakery and Modish Boutique, Shantee has brought creativity, commerce, and color to Acadia Parish’s small business landscape. Her commitment to downtown revitalization is evident in her service on the Crowley Main Street Board of Directors, where she advocates for community growth and development. Shantee and her husband, Mardy, live in Iota and have built a vibrant, loving family of five children and five grandchildren. Her voice on our board will bring the perspective of both a small business owner and a community champion.
“We are incredibly proud to welcome these four outstanding leaders to our board,” said Elizabeth Miller, President & CEO of the Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development. “Each brings a unique perspective and set of strengths that reflect the diversity, drive, and heart of Acadia Parish. I’m confident they’ll play an integral role in shaping the future of our organization and our community.”
We are grateful to Shanna, Taylor, Jill, and Shantee for stepping up to help lead our organization into the future. Their diverse backgrounds, shared love for our parish, and readiness to serve make them valuable additions to our leadership team.
As always, we thank our outgoing board members for their incredible contributions and look forward to another year of progress, innovation, and partnership.
Let’s get to work![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
