We are excited to announce that the Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development has been invited by the Acadia Parish School Board to partner in their upcoming College and Career Fair for Acadia Parish High School students.
This event will take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Rayne Civic Center and will provide a unique opportunity for local businesses to connect with the future workforce.
This fair is designed to introduce students to a range of career opportunities, and we are inviting the business community to participate by setting up informational booths and engaging with students. Businesses that can utilize unskilled or semi-skilled labor, have a workforce training pipeline, or would like to share insights into their profession—whether or not it requires formal schooling—are ideal participants.
By joining us at this event, you will have the chance to:
- Showcase your industry and company to the next generation of workers.
- Highlight career paths and training opportunities that students may not be aware of.
- Help students understand the skills and qualifications needed for various careers in our community.
We believe that your involvement could have a significant impact on these students as they explore their future career options. To participate, please complete the sign-up form provided by the school board. Deadline to complete is Wednesday, October 9th.
