The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development is pleased to announce the selection of its new executive committee on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the annual Board Retreat & Strategic Planning Session. Members of the Executive Committee are nominated and approved by the full Board of Directors.
“We’re confident that this dynamic and dedicated executive committee will be effective in helping to lead our organization,” says Elizabeth Miller, President and CEO of APPCED. “I couldn’t be more excited to have this group on board as we enter a really pivotal year.”
David “Willie” Bergeron, representing CLECO, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board. Willie brings extensive experience and a strong commitment to the local community.
Suzy Webb of Acadia Parish Farm Bureau has been named Vice Chairman. Suzy will also serve as the Chair Elect for the 2025-2026 term, ensuring a continuity of leadership and vision for the future.
Nicole Broussard, from Church Point Wholesale, will continue her invaluable service as Treasurer, providing essential oversight of the Chamber’s financial matters.
Bryan Comeaux, representing South Central Insurance, will take on the role of Member-At-Large, contributing his expertise and insights to the executive committee.
Michael Doughty, from Platinum Realty, will transition to an ex-officio role, offering his experience and guidance as the committee moves forward.
