The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development is pleased to announce the winners of the 2025 Outstanding Young Citizen scholarship program, awarded in generous partnership with the Maboules Trust. Graduating seniors from each Acadia Parish high school are eligible to apply and one from each school is chosen. Please join us in celebrating the following winners.
Na’Toria Janee Johnson, a senior at Church Point High School and a native of Church Point, is an exceptional student and community leader. She has earned an academic award, is a certified Emergency Medical Responder, and is currently taking dual enrollment classes at LSUE. Na’Toria was selected as an All American Cheerleader in Summer 2024 and placed 5th in the State Powerlifting Meet during her junior year. She has participated in cheerleading for four years, powerlifting for two, and has served as Class President for two years and Vice President for one. She’s also been a committed member of the Beta Club and Spanish Club throughout high school. After graduation, Na’Toria plans to attend McNeese State University to pursue a degree in Nursing. She actively volunteers at local food pantries, nursing homes, and community events, and is involved in her church through Bible study and spiritual renewal nights.
China Eminya Williams, a senior at Crowley High School and a Crowley native, is a dedicated student and active community member. As a member of the Honor Society, she has balanced her studies with participation in volleyball, softball, track, basketball, Jesus Club, 4-H, Student Council, and Educators Rising. Her commitment to teamwork and leadership has been evident throughout her high school years. Outside of school, China volunteers at First Baptist Church. After graduation, she plans to attend Baton Rouge Community College to pursue a career as a sonographer.
Ezekiel Alon Wall, a senior at Iota High School and an Egan native, is a well-rounded student and leader. Maintaining a 4.0 GPA all four years, he has thrived in the Honors Program and earned multiple academic awards and certifications. A two-sport athlete, he has received numerous accolades in both football and baseball, including All District, All Region, and All State honors, and currently serves as Student Council Vice President. Active in his church and community, Ezekiel serves as an usher and youth group member at St. Michael’s and St. Joseph’s Catholic Churches, and has volunteered with the Iota Recreation Department, United Way, St. Jude events, and Pink With Purpose. After graduation, he will attend Bossier Parish Community College to play baseball and pursue a degree in Business Administration. His long-term goal is to return to Acadia Parish and work for Supreme Rice, LLC, promoting Louisiana rice worldwide.
Matthew Chance Breaux, a senior at Midland High School and a Morse native, is a driven and accomplished student. A four-year member of the Principal’s List and Beta Club, he has excelled in his studies, earning top honors at the Literary Rally with first-place finishes in IBCA and Biology at the district level, and a second-place win at the state level in IBCA. He was also accepted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at LSUE. Beyond the classroom, Matthew is actively involved in his church, faithfully serving each week as a guitarist on the worship team. In addition, he has taken on the responsibility of a full-time job in Lafayette as an AVL Technician. After graduation, he plans to attend McNeese State University to pursue a degree in Computer Science and begin his career as soon as possible.
Alison Elena Hoof, a senior at Northside Christian School and a Church Point native, is a compassionate and well-rounded student. She has been honored with the Daughters of the American Revolution Award, the Principal’s Award for character, and the Warrior Award. Achieving 1st Degree Wise Warrior status for maintaining A’s and B’s over multiple semesters, she has also represented her school as a member of the Homecoming Court. Her extracurricular activities include playing volleyball and tennis, serving on the Student Council, and participating in both the Beta Club and Chapel Worship Team, where she also leads worship for children. Her passion for music and ministry has led her to compete in fine arts competitions for singing and contribute regularly to her church’s youth worship efforts. After graduation, she plans to attend McNeese State University to pursue a degree in Nursing, with future goals of earning a second degree in Ultrasound Technology.
Henri Mark Pommier, a senior at Notre Dame High School and a Crowley native, has made a lasting impact through his academic excellence, leadership, and service to his community. He has consistently excelled in the classroom, earning recognition on the Honor Roll and Principal’s List. His academic achievements include awards in Spanish and World Geography, as well as notable placements in Literary Rally competitions. As President of the FFA Club, he has led by example, while also participating in the Beta Club, Campus Ministry, and competing as a four-year member of both the football and golf teams. His civic and religious service includes volunteering with the choir to visit nursing homes, donating handmade projects to his church, escorting seniors at community events, and helping lead youth retreats. Henri plans to attend LSUE and pursue a degree in Agriculture with a focus in soil sciences and crop management; his goal is to become a successful rice and crawfish farmer.
Julianna Paige DuPont, a senior at Rayne High School and a Rayne native, is a vibrant and dedicated student. A four-year honor student and three-year member of the BETA Club, she has attended the State Convention annually, even competing in the dance competition for two years. She was recognized as Student of the Month as a freshman and represented American Legion Post 77 at Louisiana Girls State, where she was elected to city council. Julianna also represented Rayne High at LSUE’s Literary Rally her freshman year. Beyond the classroom, she served as a Varsity Cheerleader for all four years—currently as Captain—earning All American honors each year and recognition as Top Advanced Dancer her senior year. A passionate and active member of HOSA, FFA, Student Council, Interact Club, and Rayne Alive, she has competed in conferences, volunteered in numerous service projects, and helped lead public outreach efforts on campus. Her volunteerism includes preparing over 100,000 meals for the needy, assisting with video production for school events, and serving two years as a volunteer at the Acadia Parish “Join Our Youth” Special Needs Prom. Julianna is also a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she volunteers with the VBS program and supports Catholic Daughters events. After high school, she plans to attend Louisiana State University of Eunice and pursue the 2+2 program to earn a degree in Elementary Education, with the goal of later earning her Master’s in Special Education.
These students will be formally recognized at the 2025 Acadia Parish Chamber Banquet on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
