Local Leaders Discuss State Priorities at Acadia Quarterly Legislative Forum
Approximately 40 community members and leaders gathered Wednesday, October 30 for the Acadia Quarterly Legislative Forum, hosted by the Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development. The event featured key insights from Will Green, CEO of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), alongside legislative updates from Senator Bob Hensgens and Representative Chance Henry.
During the forum, attendees heard updates on crucial issues affecting Louisiana, including tax reform, infrastructure development, and the state’s budget. Both Senator Hensgens and Representative Henry highlighted their commitment to improving constituent services, sharing a collaborative vision to support sustainable growth in Acadia Parish.
Dr. Nancee Sorenson, Chancellor of Louisiana State University at Eunice (LSUE), opened the forum by welcoming attendees and expressing gratitude for the partnerships with the Chamber and legislative delegation.
