The holiday season is in full gear! Every year we like to remind our members and customers of Acadia Parish to shop local businesses first! Local shopping is critical for continued growth of the community because the success of those local businesses directly affects each citizen. For every $100 that is spent at a local business, nearly 75% of it returns to the local community. Your dollar has more impact when you spend it locally!
Now more than ever is the time to support our local small businesses. The COVID pandemic has seen many of them disappear due to rising costs and not enough revenue. That is why, in addition to hard-earned money, the Acadia Parish Chamber utilizes the Chamber Cash Program. Since 1989, this gift certificate program encourages recipients of these certificates to shop at local businesses throughout the parish. Each year, we roughly circulate nearly $75,000 in Chamber Cash, which helps keep our dollars here at home, where it matters most.
Both individuals and businesses may purchase Chamber Cash from our office (532 SE Court Circle), in any denominations, to be given as gifts, bonuses or part of an incentive program, with no additional fees for the certificates. There are over 80 participating Chamber members that accept Chamber Cash, just as if it would be one of their own gift certificates. Additionally, in the spirit of cooperation our fellow Rayne Chamber of Commerce member businesses ALSO accept Chamber Cash issued by either Chamber!
