Today is your day. You are our birthday girl!
A resident of Encore Healthcare & Rehabilitation, Cecelia Miller was born a mere 107 years ago today! She hails from the beautiful town of Iota of which she is extremely fond.
Cecelia married Duclide Young and from their loving union came one daughter, four grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Cecelia was a working mother, but always found time for her favorite hobbies which included quilting, sewing, cooking from scratch, and gardening and tending to her flowers. Today, you might find her chatting it up with friends while enjoying a hot cup of coffee or engaged in a competitive game of bingo.
As most of you know, her favorite colors are yellow and pink. And ever the little fashionista, if you stop by for a visit at Encore, you can be guaranteed that she will be stylishly wearing one of her favorite crocheted hats.
Please join us at the InterInternational Rice Festival Saturday to cheer Cecelia on in the parade as she makes her way through town on her royal horse and buggy!
Let us know how fabulous you think Cecelia is in 107 words or less!
Many thanks to our fabulous photographer and 81st Rice Festival Queen, Kathryn Shea Duncan and the extraordinary hair and make up provided by Amber Marceaux Richard!
