     Veterans Day Commemoration at Le Vieux Dépot
    American Legion Post 225 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9903 will conduct this year’s Veterans’ Day Ceremony, hosted by Le Vieux Presbytère Museum, at 1pm on Sunday, November 14 at Le Vieux Dépot, corner of Main and POW-MIA Blvd in Church Point. The public is invited to participate and to linger afterward for refreshments. For further information please contact museum curator Harold Fonte at 337-384-7993 or at hjfonte@gmail.com.

    City of Crowley Veteran’s Day Program
    Join us in saluting all who have served! Thursday, November 11, 2021 at noon in Levy Park.

    Veteran’s Breakfast – American Legion Acadia Post 15 will host a Veteran’s Breakfast on Saturday, November 6th from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at its headquarters located at 217 North Parkerson avenue in Crowley. All Acadia Parish Veterans are invited to attend. For more information, contact Wayne Dommert, Commander at 33-783-8889.

    RAYNE

    Rayne High School will host a Veteran’s Day event in honor of all local veterans on Thursday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day 2021.
    Student presentations will be delivered to the special guests, who will also be treated to a noon meal of hot gumbo. All veterans are invited and encouraged to attend — no registration is needed. Veterans can just show up for the event slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.
    The event will be held in the RHS band room. Only veterans, administrators and a small group of selected students will participate.
    Proper distancing will be encouraged with students maintaining distance from Veterans while conducting presentations.
    The entire event will take place in the school’s our band room to provide adequate room and spacing.
    The 10:30 a.m. program will include a welcome message by Principal Benny Fontenot, the Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem lead by students, playing of TAPS, student presentations, display of artwork by students and lunch.

    IOTA

    On Wednesday, November 10th Mass will be held at 8:00 am at St. Joseph Church in Iota. Following Mass, St. Francis School will host their Veterans Day program at 9:30 in the St. Francis School Gym. They will have live music, guest speakers and tributes to all of those who served our country.
